Cocetti Label

Church

One of the most distinctive characters of Cocetti label is its meaning - Family.  The featured old chapel, " Chiesa Vecchia", was built by David's grandfather and great-grandfather, wine makers themselves and chosen for the lable to exemplify the family heritage of winemaking. The old chapel is located in the family village of Brandola, Italy. The locals fondly call it, " Il Madona Casa Vecchio", Madona of the old house. The structure still stands and is in use to this day as a Catholic Church. The actual name of the Church is, Ave Maria Gratia Plena.  Above the door of the church is a carved stone that says, " When you enter, what is in your heart will be lifted up to the heavens.

The 1981-1994 label was delicately colored and trimmed with gold foil. Each varitial is distinticly differentiated by the colored arch around the Brandola Church and the varitial lettering. Green for Chardonnay, black for Cabernet Sauvignon and pink for Sauvignon Blanc. Light purple trimmed the now discontinued White Zinfandel and gold foil trimmed the now discontinued Brut Champagne. These vintages also included a branded natural cork with the Cocetti Logo and a foil top also branded with the Cocetti logo.

The 1995-2005 label was changed to a classy two tone brown but redesigned with a dome top. Each of the wine labels elegantly displayed an enumeration of vintage, the appellation and the varietal in a delicate presentation, retaining the trade mark Brandola Italy church.

The 2006-2008 lable became a combination of the previous two labels. Returning to the vivid four color label but retaining the dome shape - classy and safisticated.  The new label has been very well recieved esculating the Cocetti eye appeal to new heights. The 2008 year also is the year we have released our 25 year anniversery celebration premium selections. The premium selections feature a beautiful two color,  slik screen (painted on the bottle) label, branded cork and foil top.

2009 brought the newest releases to the Cocetti wine line. Grape Feet Red and Grape Feet White hit the market during the last quarter of the year.  The label for these selections were redesigned with little grape feet running across a grape cluster to a wine glass, symbolic of how grapes used to be crushed during a  simpler time period. Eye catching and fun the labels are a hit even without the trade mark Brandola chapel.

Our label was designed by David A. Cocetti and art by Linda Laing and features the church in Brandola Italy, where David T's forefathers were born and began the family wine making tradition. The Church still stands and is still in operation. Special care was taken in our lable, branded corks, branded caps to insure a classy and stylish display that will complement any table. Our bottles were selected to match the wine region in style and color.

The Cocetti Wine label is so beautiful Better Homes and Garden Magazine Holiday Celebration has used it in their national advertisement material.
